Tracing through the urban legend of Sadako Yamamura, she has been haunting and killing victims by mysteriously appearing out from the television and claiming anyone's life when they are caught watching the television. I decided to add the flickering lights , bleeding clock and glitching television to showcase the horror of that moment when she appears from the television and finding her next target to attract the reader's attention to the center. I added space between the victim and Sadako to give a sense of mystery between them. Will the haunting of Sadako stop ? Keep a lookout whenever your television starts glitching as we never know...

Title - Converging Shadows : A Nocturnal Tapestry Of Dual Identities

My poster embodies the nocturnal convergence of contrasting personas within me. A Japan culture fan, adorned with cherry blossoms, symbolizes the harmony and discord of my multifaceted identity. The red moon and shrine signify my vibrant gaming alter ego, while the fox tail represents my connection to a digital universe.

Central to the piece is a hybrid game character portrayal of myself merged with a fox head, wearing a traditional Japanese mask, bridging human and fantastical worlds. The red and pink hues echo my gaming character against a dark backdrop, inviting viewers into a world where my dual personas coexist, blending artistry, gaming, and the allure of the night.

REFLECTION

Throughout my course on illustration and visual narrative, I embarked on a captivating journey exploring the depths of storytelling through art. From crafting the chiaroscuro card design, where the interplay of light and shadow evoked profound emotions, to breathing life into a static image with the animated decisive moment poster, each project was a canvas for my evolving creativity.

The digital triptych became my platform for thematic continuity, weaving together three panels into a cohesive narrative. Additionally, my self-titled poster was a reflection of my artistic identity, encapsulating my essence through strokes, colors, and imagery.

These projects were more than just exercises; they marked my growth as both an illustrator and a storyteller. They showcased not only technical skill but also a deep understanding of visual narrative. Each piece carries a unique story, leaving an indelible mark on my artistic journey and resonating with those who engage with my work.
