REFLECTION


Experience:
This module has been a wild ride for me and one of the heaviest workload module this semester. From the initial proposal to the final execution of the website, it requires good time management and also executing both the old and new skills learnt. For example, when it comes to the prototyping part in project 2 , I decided to create all the vectors myself which took me a good amount of time drawing it out. For the final project, which is making the website in Adobe Animate was a huge challenge because I had many animations that I wanted to do but with my limited skill sets in Animate , I struggled initially wondering how to make the animations. It took me a huge amount of time and effort to carry out the final production and create the website, however , thanks to the support given , the website turned out satisfactory which brought a good end to this module. 

Observations : 
I observed that everyone has different strengths and weaknesses when it comes to designing and for me, animation is definitely my short point. I required more time than the rest of my peers to grasp the concept of Adobe Animate and debug all the issues. However, I am glad that everything worked out fine in the end. Adobe Animate is a new software introduced to us only in this semester and I never thought that such websites can be made without hard coding everything out, as previously in Interactive Design , we hard coded out websites in HTML CSS and Javascript but with Animate, there are already some built in functions for Javascript which I found extremely useful. 

Findings : 
Even though the module has ended,  I found that I still have a long way to go regarding upskilling myself in terms of animation. I learnt how good planning from project 1 can contribute greatly to my final product and I am glad that I allocated sufficient time to complete this module. Being gone through Adobe Animate, it opened up new platforms and doors for me to create visually appealing and interactive websites.
